Div attributes using Visualformat

I have my visualformat configuration file using a stylesheet, but none of the styles are being picked up. I'm wondering if it's because of the way the stylesheet is written. The css file is written in such a way to use <div id="..."> instead of the usual <div class="..."> tags.

If needed, I could post all my files.

Any immediate thoughts?
