I think they switched from Netscape to Mozilla support - at least as far as reporting supported versions.
Check with Support to verify information (as documentation is not always correct)

I've had no issues with Netscape 6.1. Since NS is a derivative of Mozilla anyway, I guess it would be best to support the code base.

This is what I got from Interwoven....
Since the development team for Netscape has been dissolved, there will be no new versions of Netscape coming in the future. Mozilla (Netscape is based on Mozilla) on the other hand is still being developed. So I think that Interwoven will only support Mozilla browser starting TeamSite 6.1
This is what I think...
Netscape 7.1 should still work with TeamSite 6.1 But officially it is not in the compatibility matrix. So if you get an error in TeamSite 6.1 using Netscape 7.1, you will have to reproduce it in Mozilla 1.5 for Interwoven support to acknowledge it as a problem. Going forward you should think of deploying Mozilla rather than Netscape for TeamSite as it will be one of the support browser.
BTW. I am just curious why are you using Netscape for TeamSite?

I never said I used it, just that I've made sure it works. My upgrade test plan included testing the 6.x functionality with NS.
Netscape isn't a bad browser. Hackers don't exploit it like IE and it is safer because of that.

Thanks for the reply,
When we are moving from Ts 5.5.2 to Ts 6.1 , we lost Netscape support,
Precisly Mozilla support is mentioned Ts 6.1 SP1 Release documents.
I like and my user likes Netscape because it is less harmful than IE.
by the way, Interwoven uses any Active X in any of Interwoven GUI's?
Present or in future versions such as Ts TS 6.5
Thanks

it was my understanding that Visual Format (for WYSIWYG textarea editing) is Active X, at least for IE and in TS 5.5. What technology is that in Netscape? And under TS 6.1?

We removed support for Netscape in TeamSite 6.x because there is no clear defined roadmap for Netscape going forward. In any case, Mozilla technology formed the basis for Netscape or you could call Mozilla the open source version of Netscape depending on your perspective. Also, there is a lot of interest and activity in enhancing and developing Mozilla, leading to a reasonable adoption of Mozilla in the past year. Hence, it seemed prudent to add Mozilla support for TeamSite in place of Netscape.
Regarding your question about ActiveX technology in TeamSite : The Visual Format technology that is part of Forms Publisher (Templating), is an ActiveX control.
thanks
