no comparison deployment

Is there a way to run a deployment that never compares? I am trying to set up a deployment that pushes the entire directory regardless of what exists on the other side. I've tried the following options but it always seems to do a compare and only push the changed files.

How about doing a TeamSte-based deployment, with the previous area set to INITIAL?

Alternately, you could put exlude filters in for the destination, and have those filters match everything. Then, as far as OD would be concerned, the destination would be empty.

Perhaps you could explain why your want to do this / what you are attempting to accomplish?

You could do a filelist deployment where you listed every file in the source directory tree structure within the filelist.

You could do a sourceTeamsite deployment where you use the INITIAL edition as the previousArea - which is probably significantly easier than the above, unless the source area isn't within TeamSite)

Can't you just put the directory path in the filelist? OpenDeploy should pick up all the files inside that directory. Not sure if that would handle deletes though.

You'd have to experiment a bit - as I don't remember whether OD would recurse through a directory listed in the filelist to deploy all the contents of that directory - or whether it would simply check to ensure that the directory existed (or didn't exist) on both sides of the deployment without regard to the contents therein.
