License invalid TS 6.5
fgomez
Hi!
We are installing TS 6.5 and the server can´t start because the license is invalid. We have generated the license key several times but we have obtained the same error on starting.
Can you help us about this strange situation?
Thanks in advance
Best regards

Usually this is a symptom of someone only having pasted part of the license key into iw.cfg rather than the whole thing. Would you ming posting the little bit of the iwserver section of your iw.cfg so we can make sure if you put the key in correctly? Also, does this server have multiple NICs?

The other cause of this tended to be someone copying/pasting the license key when there was a white-space character at the end of the presented string in the email -- make sure you don't have any trailing white-space on your license key in the iw.cfg file.

Did you run the tslicinfo command to generate a new tslicinfo.log file based on your new TS version before you generated the new license key? It's important that you use the info from the logfile as input when generating the license key.

The error in tsisvalid.log is:
License validation failed for node-locked
licensing because the encoded strings do not match.
(invalid string = 75aad18fc6748b86beac4868ffa778d0)
The current system information is:
Platform = UX
Domain Name = NoDomainFound
hostMACid 832cb732
Product = TS
Have you changed the Network Interface Card since you installed the Interwoven product?
Could you help us?
Thanks in advance

It seems that there's some information missing... namely, email, version, and os_version (although os_version is optional)

Current Environment(s):
(1) TS 6.1 SP1 on W2K3
(2) TS 6.1 SP1 on W2K
(3) TS 5.5.2 SP2 on Win2K

I think the error is pretty self-explanatory. You don't have a valid license.
You need to go to
Interwoven Support
and generate a license. You'll need the info that you see in that log file.
