WorkSite SDK 'SearchWorkspaces' function problem

I can't seem to get the WorkSite SDK 'SearchWorkspaces ()' function working against a FileSite (v8.00.52) database. I'm new to both the SDK & WorkSite/FileSite.

Is there a 'FileSite SDK' that I should be using, instead of the 'WorkSite SDK'? I'm writing my app in C#.

It doesn't matter what type of 'workspace' search parameter I specify, I can't seem to retrieve any results. The only successful search, is the one where I specify an empty search parameter 'value':

What's the deal? Have I done something wrong?? Is the search completely broken???

I have tried the search database option from the UI but that doesn't seem to give me any results either?!!?!??

I can't even seem to get the search working via a workarea(?).

Please can someone shed some light upon the matter.

Using the SDK to search for a workspace is essentially the same as searching from within FileSite; each context is served as the front end to make an api call, searchworkspaces, to the iManage.dll which is the middleware server to return a result set based on the search criteria.

There isn't such thing as FileSite database; that is, the databse you see through FileSite can be seen in DeskSite, WorkSite Web, and it may also be obtained through SDK. It is the same database that is defined in the DBAdmin which is configured to be used by the Worksite DMS Server -- this is a high level explanation. See Server manual for further clarification.

Could you show the code that you used to log onto a session? Is your imanLFDb a handle to the database that is already defined in the DBAdmin and connected to the DMS server?
