How deployment Works?

Hi all,

I want to know how exactly deploymeny works. i mean to say how internally it deploys the filkes to servers. Is it using FTP or some other thing . Also we never give permissions to users regarding the deployment.How it manages all that.

Since you're asking this question in the Workflow forum, rather than the Content Distribution forum, I can only assume that you're asking how deployments happen in the context of a workflow. And the answer is: however you code it.

Workflow doesn't do deployments directly. It relies on some other piece of software, usually invoked as an external task, to actually do the deployment.

If you're actually after information on OpenDeploy, I suggest you follow Fish's advice, and spend a little time with the product documentation, and then follow up with questions in the appropriate forum. And when you DO post such questions, include your software version(s) and OS(s), as that will probably impact the answer.
