Sample extractor program

We are trying to build a prototype in interwoven teamsite and would like to ask if there are sample
codes available (perl or java) to do the following:

Background:
An image file (e.g. jpeg) with an XML descriptor file containing its
metadata is FTPed to a directory by the author.

The program that we are trying to write will do the following:
1. Parse the XML to retrieve metadata elements.
2. Set the metadata elements into a DCR.
3. Extract content from file location and submit into teamsite together
with the DCR.
4. Kick off a workflow.

Code samples? It sounds as though you're looking for a gracious soul on DevNet to actually DO the prototype for you. Where's Smitty when you need him?

no kidding, a small hack here or there is easy, but code samples for a weeks worth of work (likely more if you want documentation), start looking for a consultant to help if you are really serious.
