Missing Menu Items in TeamSite 6.1 WebdeskPro

We are playing with a TeamSite 6.1 SP1 server running on Windows 2003 and in thinking through possible upgrade scenarios, we were thinking of using both the WebDeskPro and Content Center User Interfaces until all of the user base is trained up. However, when attempting to use the WebdeskPro interface, some critical action items are missing:

File menu no longer has:
- Delete
- Delete Data Record
- Publish
- New Data Record (instead says New Form Entry [ a 6.1 term ] )
- New Job
- New Branch
- New Workarea
- Compare Any
- Get Latest
- Submit Direct
- Assign

Edit Menu no longer has:
- Lock
- Unlock
- Private
- Public

View Menu no longer has:
- List locks
- List Modified
- Update Log
- Submit Log
- History

I suspect the workflow menu items will also not be backwards compatible. This will basically force us to use Content Center Standard and Pro, and train all of our user base at once (unless we train them all on a test server and then roll production over to 6.1).

Is this a bug, or have other people experienced the same thing?

Are you sure you were in a valid workarea? And what role? Because most, if not all, of the items you describe as missing are certainly showing up in my test instance (TS 6.1 SP1, W2K)

Good catch. Actually, things are fine. I hadn't clicked on the Options button from the login screen to realize that my role was being defaulted to Author, since hitting the webdeskpro URL doesn't display with the options expanded. I logged in as Editor and Administrator and all is well.

Edit DCR (So use Edit )
Delete DCR (So use Delete)
Change Templating UI
Search (Missing from Work Area View menu)
Reports (Missing from Work Area View menu)
New File (Missing from Webdesk pro menu )

Change Templating UI has been gone for a while - it went with the end-of-life of the Jave UI for templating which I think died over a year ago now.

The Edit DCR / Delete DCR are not really big issues - though Delete DCR was supposed to fire off a workflow for tt_deletedcr (or something like that) but I'm not sure very many customers used it (I know I never implemented it)

Search must have been a customization - perhaps with the add-on Search DCR and Search Metadata UIs that relied on DAS being configured. Do you still have DAS configured? Do you still have the add-on CGI's for doing the searches? If so - you'll probably have to add them back in as custom menu items in the ui_custom.xml file as per the UITK customization guide.

Reports has to be part of the GRC - which was always somewhat dubious - but it also required a custom menu item (that was part of the de-facto iw.cfg. I don't recall if the GRC is in 6.1 - if it is you'll have to add the menu item as per above (though yes, Interwoven should probably have provided it OOTB or at least had it commented out within the config file for easy inclusion.

(Note: Search and Reports are coming back in 6.5 as per Sunil's post - different, but hopefully better)
New File sounds strange that it's missing. Are you sure about that? (I haven't looked - I have no real intention of trying to move forward with WDP - if we upgrade, we'll go to CCPro IMO)
