Importing and saving MetaData ?

If I have foo.pdf with 20 EAs and import a new version of foo, the EAs go away. Is there a way to keep these ? This is going to kill us.

found it, inherit_EA_on_Import=true in the iw.cfg.

Funny I found it in the example iw.cfg but could not find it in the manuals

You're saying that you have a *submitted* version of a PDF file that has EAs on it - and when you update the PDF file within the workarea - all the EAs are gone?

What version of TS? what platform? (etc. - you know the drill nipper) - and can you provide a step-by-step process that you are following to replicate the problem? Also - have you tried with other file types?

did not see my second post ? TS 552 solaris 2.8

I added the flag to iw.cfg (save_EAs_on_import=yes) and it works.

We implemented metatagger, saving a lot of MD to a PDF (some from MetaTagger, other from the user), new version of the PDF is done via import, but the MD did not follow to the next version.
