EasyDeploy 6.0;W2003: DataDeploy license not found.

I have installed CSF1.0, EasyDeploy 6.0 Base Server, and OD 6.0 Admin Svr on W2003 running TS 6.1. I have enabled database deployments in odbase.xml.

When I go to Configurations->DataDeploy Configuration or Configurations->Schema Mapping from the OD Admin UI I get the message: "DataDeploy license not found.".

Do I need a license for DataDeploy ? Or am I missing some configurations ?

I haven't played around with it much yet (I am about to, though). But, as I understand it, the DAS function of DD is now integrated into OD, and included with the license. Not sure about EasyDeploy, but I imagine it would be the same. If you want deployments OTHER than DAS, I believe you need to license and install the rest of DD.

I think Adam is on to something. On slide 45 of the DevNet webcast pdf it says: run DataDeploy module as needed.

I didn't see a separate install for DD earlier on the support site. But found it now.

The install file for DataDeploy 6.0.0 Module Enabler for Windows is a .tar.gz file. I wonder why. Not that it matters to me, but the other intall files for Windows are self-extractable executables.

The DD module download is a license key to turn on standalone DD function. Hence it's just a tar file, not a self-extracted executable.

You also need to enable DD in the config file, since DAS function (for Teamsite) does not require the license.
