How to set Check in Due Date to active?

Hi,

does anyone know how to make the Check in Due date work for documents?
I assume the person with a checked out document from worksite is supposed to be notified that the document is over-due, since there is a field for Check in Due date when you check it out?

Would be very nice to have....
