Workflow Email Question

Hi,

TS 6.1 Win 2003 Svr.

I am trying to put together an email based workflow solution. I have got the basics working fine - using the OOTB solutions provided, I can email users.

I am trying to find a way of having an "Approve" button, a "Reject" button (instead of the default "Finish" button) as well as a "Comments" textarea on the email form. Building the form is no problem but how do I pass the Comments, and which button was clicked back to the task to ensure that the correct successor will activate - if the Approved button is clicked I want to move to a submit for deployment step; if the Reject button is clicked I want to send an email to the Author with the Approver's Comments.

Any and all advice greatly appreciated.

Are you considering or in the process of implementing this as a cgitask? Have you looked at VisualAnnotate? VA will do more than what you want here, but it'll accomplish this functionality with minimal effort, but in a more graphic/visually-oriented medium than you might prefer.
