visual format

have anybody add any cutom script for a button for visual format that'll go to a external browser and let user to browse and finnally the web url will be saved in visual format text area.

any suggestion or any similer script or any structure that will help me to proceed .

It can be done any number of ways.The button can pop up a small window with a read-only text box and an OK button. The small window pops up a full featured browser window for the user to surf. The small window can poll the child window every 0.1 seconds for its current URL using setTimeout and keep it's erad-only text box updated with the browser window's URL. When the user is happy, click OK and it pastes back to VFE.

Alternately, you can create a popup window with a frameset. Top frame has a text box and an OK button. The user can type a URL in the the text box and it will load in the bottom frame. When they are happy, they click OK to paste back to the VFE.
