We recently changed our deployment architecture, and we have seen intermittent problems during deployments. When deleting content, or publishing new content, the deployment fails (sometimes) and we see the following in the logs (in the case, the file was deleted):
>>>
ERROR: Could not open file (/default/main/STAGING/foo.jpg) to send over.
LIB: 2005-02-28 13:57:27 ERROR: File(/default/main/STAGING/foo.jpg) failure: bytes-read=0 bytes-expected=0.
[...]
LIB: 2005-02-28 13:57:27 Transferring extended attributes for [/default/main/STAGING/foo.jpg]
LIB: 2005-02-28 13:57:27 TeamSite Version 6.1.0
LIB: 2005-02-28 13:57:27 ERROR: EA_START_ACK not received: [ERROR: deploy-failed].
LIB: 2005-02-28 13:57:27 ERROR: Failed transferring extended attributes for [/default/main/STAGING/foo.jpg]
LIB: 2005-02-28 13:57:27 ERROR: Could not write file (foo.jpg
) to socket.
<<<
After we see this error, a redeploy works without problems. Anyone seen anything like this before? Some notes about our setup:
-od 6.01 w/ DD module on Solaris 9
-our source is an "iwStore" deploy with a filelist
-our workflow does the following tasks serially: misc processing, delete [optional], submit, start OD
Thanks for any help,
~jed
