WORKFLOW Errors

hi

Find the attached workflow.
I have a simple workflow (user task (Add files) -> Email task->User Task(Approve / reject)->Deploy(open deploy script)-> End Task.

I am getting errors. i have customize this WF using iw-home/local/config/wft/default/author_assignment.wft

could someone get me the solution / ideas.

As a starter however, this line looks suspect:
__INSERT__(" <command v="c:\iw-home\iw-perl\bin\iwperl c:\iw-home\local\bin\callback.ipl"/>");

You've got some nasty quotes within quotes - and you don't need to __INSERT__ this tag at all - just put it in as it is.

now i am getting the WF UI screen but it gives the following error when i start the WF by press start button:

Invalid Workflow:
xml processing instruction not at start of external entity at line 2
ERROR:00001: Failure in Operation

Plz get me the idea.

Just a guess here, but try removing the blank line on the first line.

I got that same error too, can some body explain that what might possibly be the root of problem?

While parsing the XML all the parsers are implied to read the xml declaration on the top of the doc and if they dont find any on the very first line, it gives error as such.

This is also same with the perl executable path declaration.

As Lozza suggested - make sure you don't have a blank line at the top of your WFT.

If you don't have a blank line - but you also don't have a line that begins with <?xml ...> - then you need to post the WFT (as an attachment) for us to have a hope at figuring out what might be happening.
