it's not setting any EAs on the dcr.

any suggestion?

Whats your TS version ? Windows or Unix ?

Have you tried running "$iwextattr_cmd -s TeamSite/Templating/DCR/Type=test/pr $dcr_file_name" from commandline (replacing the variables with its vaues)?

While I always do it and recommend it, I didn't think it was necessary to have " around the key-value pair. Or is it ?

It's not a problem unless you have spaces in your entries.

If you always do it, you'll avoid the problem if it arrises.

Are you sure this command is being run?
Have you tried putting debugging print statements within the code - and perhaps checking the value of $? after the command is [supposedly] run?
