An additonal amp; put in after &

Currently working on a project using teamsite 3.5 and
my problem is that if a link entered in the text (by choosing "make the current selection a hypelink" icon in template view) contains an &, an additonal amp; is added behind it when I submit the file. When viewing the original file in xml format it show "&" but when
viewing it under staging after submitting it, it show "& amp". I originally wrote only "&" in template view.

Any ideas on how to make teamsite not put on an additonal amp; when submitting the file?

Wow, 3.5?? Okay, well what if you were to associate the SUBMIT with a workflow? In other words, don't let anyone directly submit a file to staging, rather use the workflow. In this workflow, you can have an external task parse each file before submitting it. If you can trace the insertion back to a specific point, that's helpful, but putting the SUBMIT functionality in a workflow is not a bad move, either.

My little disclaimer: I don't know offhand how much of what I said is supported by TS v3.5. I started my TS experience with 3.5, but I'm hard-pressed to remember what is and is not supported.

3.5 doesn't have workflows - it only has limited iwatxxx triggers.
Workflows (and "real" templating) were introduced in 4.0.

I'm with Lissa and hoping this was a typo and they meant 6.5 not 3.5 - but we'll have to hear from the source ....
