VisualFormat behaving differently in V6.1
fiquebem
In TS 5.5.2, content in a VisualFormat editor was saved to a DCR as in this example:

<value>
Services

</value>

In TS 6.1, with the same configuration, the same VisualFormat content is saved to a DCR as in this example:

<value>
Services
</value>

I supposed the latter is better, but it's still different and causing pages rendered with XSLT to show up differently. Can we configure VF to add a newline before closing the value tag? Or ...?
Thanks,
S.

You could have some FormAPI inject a newline character at the end of that value if it's not already there. This FormAPI function could be an onSaveValid event handler.

Check out the VFE developer's guide. Search for "cr" and "lf" .
You might be able to accomplish this with an easy VFE configuration change. The <clean> tag allows you configure the translation of carriage returns and line feeds. We had a similar problem in which carriage returns were being mysteriously added to the end of our VFE text. In our application we store all data is raw XML and let the web application do the work on figuring out how it should display. The extra carriage return in the XML was messing up our pages when we applied XSL. Our VFE solution was to set cr="" and lf="".
Good luck.
