If you have remote administration access to the server, connect and check to see if the IFS is still mounted, i.e. is the Y: drive visible in an explorer window?
You might also want to check your logs (iwserver.log, iwtrace.log) for errors at the time this happened.

what happens when you use dos to go to the Y drive ? Or explorer ?
Start perusing log files

I can browse the IFS drive Y:\ I can explore all the branches, workareas through windows explorer.
I see the following in the iwtrace.log

Which role you are using to login ?
Does it make a difference if you login as master ? admin ? ...
Does this happen for all users ?
Do you have branch/workarea security = on in your iw.cfg ?
Can you edit any files in a workarea directly from IFS (windows explorer) ?

Can you post a screenshot of the TS GUI ?
Also what happened/changed when this stoped working ?
Anyone mess with the iwui user or permissions ?

Hi,
are you the only person who has this problem?
Or is it a general server problem?
What's with your browser?
Do you have deleted your browser cache?
Stefan

Clearing the cache doesn't help and this problem is present for all the roles.
I can change the content of the files through windows explorer.

Check the logs in IWHOME/local/logs/iwui/ and the other log files in IWHOME/local/logs/ to see if any of them contain information that might shed some light on the situation.
My guess is that there's a permissions issue but that's it's somewhere you haven't looked yet.
