When clicking on the PREVIEW button, getting file not found error. Please suggest what wrong I am doing?

How about giving us all a bit more to guess at?

You could try providing your
-TS version and platform,
-templating.cfg,
-DCT,
-PT and
-DCR;
-details of what you have tried,
-details of whether this is specific to a DCT/PT or a user or a particular DCR...

Otherwise I think any responses are likely to be a bit of a stab in the dark.

Maybe you're not virtualizing properly, maybe there's a service or two not running, etc., etc.

You'll need to give much more information about your environment, etc. What version of TS? What OS? What type of page are you trying to preview (HTML, ASP, JSP, etc.)? What ports have you specified to be used in your iw.cfg and for what? Is this error happening only with one particular DCR/PT? What happens if you try to generate the file and then view it? There's probably more than a few more questions, but my fingers are tired now

Okay, well when you stop all IW services and do a netstat -an, are the default ports you're using already being used by some other service?

I didn't understand your answer to my one question about what happens when you generate a file, browse to that file in CCPro, and click on it to preview that way? This may likely also come up, but I think you should attach your iw.cfg, as it may be a problem with its configuration.

Anyway, describe your network. Is something else using port 1080? How are you accessing this, by going to nicholas.nicholasdc.com or are you using its IP? Might there be a firewall restricting you access to that port? I'm trying to think of all angles here, because like I alluded to before, it's like pulling teeth (i.e. getting very frustrating having to ask piecemeal for information instead of you graciously volunteering it, which is what probably should happen anyway, with you being the one requesting a solution of other Devnet people, and why is it that I'm in process of asking the same question a third time?! Anyway, that's my rant)...

I'm sure, none other application is using the ports those are configured for TS becasue I have only TeamSite application on this machine, no other application.
As for your suggestion, I disabled the FIREWALL and checked then also there getting the same result page not found.

Providing some more info, may be helpful to yours to suggestion some valuable suggestion.
1. When previewing a DCR, a temporary preview file will be created called zz_tst_username_0_xxxx.This file is created by iwpt_compile during the preview process. This file willbe deleted if iwpt_compile returns an error code. For example, as a resultofamalformedtemplate. Otherwise this temporary file will remain until it is overwritten.

2. One more thing I found in the generated URL for preview in browser i.e
http://nicholas/iw/cci/meta/no-injection/iw-mount/<store-name>/main/<branch-name>/WORKAREA/Workarea/zz_tst_<username_1_preview.html
iw/cci/meta/no-injection this path is nowhere I found in the machine.

Please treat me as a new for TS, please let me know if anymore information you want.
