Hi all,
Is it possible to pass an argument to the DataDeploy configuration file? If YES how?

First - why are you posting this in the Perl forum? It should be in the OpenDeploy product line forum
Second - you didn't indicate what version of DataDeploy you're using
Third - you didn't indicate whether or not this was part of a DAS configuration
Fourth - have you bothered to read the manual?

Fifth - Fish is a bitter a-hole.
Why do you even bother posting worthless reponses? You're wasting everyone's time... but congrats... 5977 + 1 posts.
ratzzzz,
Consider buiding your DD config file on the fly, just before you execute it. In the past, we've used this method when building custom OD and DD configs (based on conditions coming from a workflow)... it's worked pretty well. In a previous release of OD/DD, we found that parameter substitutions broke if you attempted to pass too much in (I think maybe it could have been an OS command line limitation also). Instead, we wrote scripts which basically dynamically wrote out all the config files, executed our deployment, then deleted all the configs and temporary files after success.
Good luck.

Do you really think I'm wasting everyone's time?
Do you think the post was made in the proper location?
Do you think that the basic information about product version and platform information were included?
Do you think that ratzzzz spent enough time looking at the manual based on the question as-worded?
Do you think that your answer actually responded to the question as-asked?
Do you think before you post?
Do you think calling people names in public forums is mature?
Do you think !
