changing the font style of the numbered lists

Hi,
In VF, when i click on the numbered list , it places no's 1,2,etc on my textarea. i type in some text next to it and add more nos and more text next to it.
Now,
when i try to apply a particular style to the numbers and the text typed next to the numbers, i can only change the style of the text typed next to the numbers and the style of the numbers in the numbered list remains the same default "Times New Roman".
my question:
how can i change the font style of the numbers in the numbered list, to be of the same style as applied to the text typed next to them? In VF, it does not allow us to select the no. "1" to apply the new style as we did to the text next to it.

Any immediate help is truly appreciated.

I always say that one should not rely on VF to do any serious things. My advice - clear the numbered list in a regular expression and apply the style you need, also in regex.
