TS6.5:CCPro - how to remove All Workareas button?

In the ref_ccpro_ui_filesys.xml file - is the following:
<heading id="iw.ccpro.list_my_workareas.heading"/>This is at the top-level, not nested within anything other than <iwov-ui>...</iwov-ui>.
I added the following to my ui_custom.xml file: <iwov-delete>
<link id="iw.ccpro.view_menu.list_my_workareas.link"/>
</iwov-delete>Also at the top-most level under <iwov-ui>...</iwov-ui>.
When I run make_toolkit.ipl I get the following:


2005-03-30 14:10:03,529 [main] WARN  com.interwoven.ui.base.config.XMLMerger () - iwov-delete tag found but the element link id="iw.ccpro.view_menu.list_my_workareas.link" it referenced was not found

Anybody figured out how to get rid of this button/icon/link?
(none of our users actually own the workareas - they're all shared - so this is useless functionality for us)

fish, it looks like you're referencing code to 2 different items. Are you trying to get rid of the My Workareas link, under the View pulldown menu, or the My Workareas button, in between the My Favorites button & the address bar?

As far as I can tell from what you've provided, you can't put <iwov-delete> at the root level. Here's a snippet from where we successfully added/removed items from both areas. Perhaps it will help you with syntax?...

The latter - I already got rid of the menu item in the View menu - I want to get rid of the link/button to the left of the address/url field.

According to Support - removing that button/link is not currently supported. It has been registered as FR # 59749 - for anyone else who cares about being able to do so.

You can remove it if you really really want to. You can remove it from a internal xml file that IWOV warn you not to touch. You should be able to find what you are looking for in the \iw-home\httpd\webapps\content_center\WEB-INF\conf\ccpro\ui_filesys.xml and remove it directly from there. Again, it's not supported.
