mod_gzip
Valentine
I've noticed that 6.1 SP2 adds mod_expires/mod_headers to the iwwebd, in order to increase the performance.
How about enabling mod_gzip?
It should save tons of bandwidth and size of the pages should be smaller.
In any case, since apxs is there, I'll compile it as DSO and see what's gonna break.

since apache supports it, you can certainly enable mod gzip... i've known people to do so. however, you should know that it's not officially supported, and also that whenever you install a patch or update your content_center web app there's a good chance that your changes will be overwritten.
post back with your findings if you can.

<IW_HOME>/iw-webd is missing the "includes" directory, which is required in order to build dso modules.
So I am not going with recompiling iwwebd, which is apache 1.3.29.
Moving on.
