install-directories Teamiste6.5 solaris
h_b
background information:
according to iw-documentation Teamiste6.5-Installation needs 3.1 GB storage space.
on our unix-test-maschine we do have several volumes and and disk space is quite limited...
while installing teamsite we run in the following problem:
- while installing we declared '/test/iw/iw-home' as iw-home-directory (this is a seperate Mount-Volume, there more than 3 GB are available)
- while further installing disk-space-warning appeared: 'in /test/iw/iwinstall, there must be 54 MB more available' (this directory is on another seperate Mount-Volume)
- we enlarged the disk space and had to cancel installation to start installation again
- again we got disk-space-warning: 'in /test/iw/iwinstall, there must be 3,9 MB more available'
- enlarged… started again… disSpaceWarning again…
to stop this try-and-error scenario we need the answers to the following questions:
- How much disk space is needed in …/iw/iwinstall ?
- how can the directory for iwinstall be altered??
- which directories are affected of big amounts of data while installing teamsite - any other than iw-home and iwinstall??
- do we have to add the needed disk space of iwinstall to the 3.1 GB-value we found in documentation?
- there is another figure of temporary space of 2 GB in documentation - does this mean the temporary directory were we put the unzipped-installation-files or which one?
