New File Wizard?

As you may know.. in CCSTD there is really no NEW FIle link. You have a new template, etc, but no new file wizard.

" An alternative is to create new content on your local system (as opposed to from within ContentCenter), and then import it into ContentCenter. For example, you could create an HTML file locally with the editing application of your choice, and then import it into ContentCenter as described in Importing a File. " is what the help file says.

Has anyone created a new file link or wizard? This would be something that the user would click to create a new file, and then the wizard would ask for the name and open the default editor for that type.

We have added the new file link within CC Std using the UI toolkit methods. We don't have a wizard of any sort, just a link to create a file, that prompts the user for a file name. Clicking edit on the new file would open it up on the local system in the application that they have defined. Would you like the code?
