Teamsite iwproxy problem
Rameshwari
Hi,
This is regarding Teamsite 6.5 iwproxy.
I have uploaded some content in my workarea "work" under "safari" branch
But when I try to view any html file in it , I get the following error.
Connection Failed
iwproxy was unable to open a connection to: (My Machine IP address):81
Reason: No error
I have added these html files under "htdocs" directory and made the following changes in "iw.cfg" file
[iwproxy_remap]
global_default_map=/
branchrewrite_1=/main/safari
[branchrewrite_1]
_docroot=/htdocs
Here safari is my branch name and htdocs is a folder under safari "work" workarea.
I even reset the server by using "iwreset -a "in command prompt and also manually restarted iwproxy .
The problem still persistsand I am unable to resolve it.
Can someone help me on this?

Hi Rameshwari,
can you give some more information about your installed software?
OS?
Did you install a webserver listening on port 81?
Try to connect to port 81 with a webbrowser...

Stefan

Hi Stefan
I have installed TeamSite 6.5 on Windows 2000 SP 4.
This is the iwproxy section of iw.cfg just for info:
[iwproxy]
iwproxy_host=localhost
customer_webserver_host=(My System IP Address)
iwproxy_port=1080
customer_webserver_port=81
I have not installed any webserver on port 81 and I am unable to connect on port 81 using the browser.
Please let me know if anything needs to be added in the iw.cfg file.

Hi Rameshwari
Is IIS installed on your server? Did the installation configure the default web server onto port 81 and create the iw-mount virtual directory?
Cheers

Hi Michael
I remember that during the installation, I did not get to configure web server. I am not sure why it did not ask me to do so at that time.
Do you think this could be the reason for my problem?
Should I reinstall Teamsite on my PC again?
Please respond as soon as possible
Thanks,
Rameshwari
Michael
Hi
I don't know if simply reinstalling will fix your problem - if you don't have the IIS components installed on your server then it won't help.
Have you checked that IIS is installed on your server?
Have you checked that the default web server is listening on port 81?
Have you checked that the web server has a iw-mount virtual directory?
Cheers
Michael

Hi,
install IIS correctly on your windows server,
then run the webserver config script tspostreboot.pl manually.
You get some more information in TeamSite Installation Guide, Chapter 3 Configuring Web Servers
