How can I create a mailto link using a VF Editor?
We are currently using TeamSite 5.5.2 on win2k.

Doesn't it come with that ability out of the box - on one of the hyperlink buttons I believe it lets you choose the kind you want and one of the choices is mailto.
Otherwise - read the manuals and figure out how to configure custom options in VFE.
(my customer decided to ditch VFE during our 6.5 upgrade - makes my life a lot easier ;-)

Hi Fish,
I don't see the mailto button in one of the out-of-box hyperlink buttons.
I had gone through the manual that found that just by typing an email address in VF editor would create a mailto link.
Thanks for your response.
Daisy.

fish, im curious about your comment of ditching the VFE...its been a headache for us, but how do you allow BUs to format text within the paragraphs? i.e. bold, hyperlink, etc
im assuming you use stylesheets for most of the formatting?

Some of the users are comfortable writing HTML in raw code, others use some other application (not sure which) and then copy/paste the code into the non-vfe-textareas.
There are stylesheets in use at the site as most of the content is rendered within a WebSphere JSP "clamp".
Not sure if that answers your question or not.
Basically the head of the organization said that VFE was more trouble than it was worth and that most users don't use it anyway - so don't bother including it when we migrate the DCTs (there was only one VFE field in one DCT as part of a replicant).
