OD 6.0.1 - Deployment at 264 hours!

I have an OD server that has a deploy that's been running for 264 hours. When I run an iwodserverstatus it shows that it's running (but no feedback of an error). Other jobs have continued to run and complete as expected after that one started. This job shouldn't have run for more than a couple of minutes (it's only a couple of files).

When I try and browse the job details via the admin gui it says:

"Unknown server error" although all other jobs are browsable.

I don't see anything in the associated job log that indicates a problem, it's just not finishing. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms? From past experience, the only way I can get this job to clear out is if I manually restart the OD service which will lose the job if it really didn't complete.

in 5.x versions a deployment could hang indefinately under certain conditions. I am not sure if this was fixed in 6.x. Details of this behaviour are documented - theres a KB or two on it out there. You might want to look at that and contact support to find out if any of that has changed in 6.x.

I had a 6.0.2 deployment hang indefinetly yesterday - twice - after the second (or third?) restart of the OD server it seems to be working fine now.

If you find some way of reliably repeating the problem - contact support to open a case / bug with details on how to reproduce. Otherwise I'd suggest periodically re-starting your OD servers.
