Initiation Form

Hi ALL,

I have a developed a initiation form for my Work-Flow : In wft file under TAG_info section i have some date fields (text boxes in that i am getting selected dates form calender) .

I want to find no of days between those two days form initiation form for that iam using this code :

When iam hard coding both date paramets i am getting no of days, but when iam passing both dates from initiation form this line is not getting executed :my $j = Delta_Days(@chk_in1 , @chk_out1);


To execuet this line after the date fields have filled in initiation form where i need to keep this line or this code.

Teamsite version is 6.0.

And on windows platform (win 2000 professional).

Iam stucked in this, any help will be thankful.

First, if you look back through some old forum postings you'll find that the wft code is processed multiple times during instantiation but that there are several ways you can conditionalize your code to wait until after the first (and/or second?) processing - and of course you can conditionalize your code to make sure that both fields have values before it is run too (e.g.: if ($uWriteByDate ne '' && $uReviewByDate ne ''){...}) or, if you don't need the actual value during instantiation you could move it into an externaltask or cgitask script near the beginning of your workflow (which is generally easier).

Secondly - what this codemy @chk_in1 = (@array1[2] , @array1[1], @array1[0]);
my @chk_out1 = (@array2[2] , @array2[1], @array2[0]);is more easily written as:my @chk_in1 = reverse(@array1);
my @chk_out1 = reverse(@array2);
Thirdly, you might want to look at the perldoc for Date::Manip - however, I believe that Date::Manip does not assume European DD/MM/YYYY format - so you'd probably still have to flip the date strings around a bit in order to be able to have them parsed and then compared - something like:use Date::Manip;
