IterateModFSE out of contrl
chuckles
I am currently working with IW support to resolve this issue, but I thought I would bounce if off DevNet for ideas. We had an issue where a user logging into the WebDesk interface managed to set off 60+ IterateModFSE operations (according to iwstat) that slowed our server down to a crawl. We were informed.and later confirmed, that IterateModFSE means that someone is getting a list of modified files for a workarea. We don't think the user did anything special to trigger this. Has anyone seen something like this before?

Webdesk keeps the view persistant.
So if you view modified, log off and back on, you will view modified again.
Happened here for a few users when we imported 20K DCRs. Browsers timed out,
pain in the a$$ to debug.
BTW, 6.X GUI also remembers what state your view is.

Did this happen to you in 6.X? Did you resolve it or just tell users not to logout from list modified view?

it happened in 5.5 Webdesk
But 6.X behaves the same.
when the users change to list modified, make certain they change back to view all or
it stays in view modified and you will see this happen.

I have seen the behavior Andy describes. List modified is an expensive operation, and if the user leaves the view with List modified, it will try again on a new login.
