Transition Text

Is there a way to get the Transition text of a previous task? I can get the comments but not the text.

For example, on the form there are two buttons.

ACCEPT

REJECT

If you view it in Interwoven Workflow

Task ID -> 108537
Task Name -> Group
Transition -> Approve
Transition Comment -> Here are my comments.
Owner -> dootndo2

I want to programatically get the value "Approve". I have tried using the available options in TeamSite::WFtask, but none of them tell me what was clicked.

You should be able to get it from iwgetwfobj <job id>. Parse out the last ChooseTransition event, then look for the second arg element, the v attribute should be the name of the transition.

Parsing of some sort is the only way. It does not mean however that you always have to parse raw XML from iwgetwfobj.
For example, if you can obtain predecessor Task Object you may use TeamSite::WFutils to do most of the parsing for you.
You can use TeamSite::WFworkflow::GetTaskByName to get predecessor and so on.

That said, it looks like you are trying to fork your flow depending on the transition. Why don't you just transition to different tasks?
