IncludePattern in OD6.0.2 not working

Hi all,

TS 6.5SP1 on Win2003
Sender: OD6.0.2 on Win2003
Receiver: OD5.5.1SP2 on AIX

I've some problems in using the includePattern within a deployment config.

My config (complete file is attached):

<remoteDiff area="c:\temp\source">
<pathSpecification >
<path name="." />
<filters>
<includePattern regex=".*\.txt$"/>
</filters>
</pathSpecification>
</remoteDiff>

Source dir contains different file types, I want to deploy only txt-files.
If I start my OD-config, all files are transferred into the destination directory...

Is it necessary that also the receiver version must be 6.0.2 or greater?
is there something else missing?
Any ideas or hints?

Hi Stephan,
Perhaps you can attach your deployment logs?
I don't think the includes feature is supported in OD5.5.1.
It first appeared in OD5.6.

Can you upgrade your receiver to OD6.0.2?

Hi Bill,
here're my deployment logs.
Actually we don't have the possibility to upgrade one of our OD receivers, we scheduled this for the end of august...
So, if there's no possibility to use an include with our OD software combination, we have to wait :-)

One additionally question:
Did you get some practical experience in using an OD5.5.1SP2 sender in combination with an OD6.0.2 receiver?

That's a supported combination, but without the include filters. Check "Deploying Files Between OpenDeploy Releases" in the OD 602 Release Notes for details about which features are not supported between releases.
