xcopy 6.5 win2k3

I saw other post regarding xcopy but they do not seem to help.

Can anyone please do a basic external task test using xcopy with the following options.
xcopy.exe /S /R /V /Y "Y:\default\main\...\some file" "d:\temp\\" 2>&1

It runs fine via command line but fails with no error via external task.

The environment TS 6.x, win2k3
