Deleting Workspaces
System
I accidentally used the wrong user to initialize a facility on my test server. I went ahead and re-initialized it using the user I intended, but I still have the old homepage workspace out there. I can't seem to delete either workspace through the library manager. I'd like to delete the whole facility and start fresh, but you can't delete a facility that contains workspaces. Why might I not able to delete the workspaces?

Hi,
try deleting the Workspace logging in as an Admin.
click the workspace name and then click the "delete" at the top. then you should be able to delete the facility from the lib manager.

The problem is that I initialized it as with a facility Administrator account (i.e. member of the administrators workgroup for that facility). So, if I login as that user, it takes me to the facility manager page for my new facility, there are no options for managing workspaces (which is correct [if somewhat non-intuitive] if I remember the documentation correctly). Of course, I have a new workspace from where I reinitialized, and I can go to Manage it once I login as the user I re-initialized with, and delete it if I am so inclined. As that same user, I can go into the old Workspace (called Corporate MP Home), but I don't have the option to Manage since I'm not a workspace administrator and can't get into the workspace manager page as the facility admin to add the other user.
What finally occured to me was this: remove the facility admin user that I originally intialized the library with from the facility Administrators workgroup, then log into the system as him, Manage the workspace in question, and delete it. Alternatively, I could have, at that point, added my other user to the workspace administrators group.
Off the top of my head, it doesn't make sense for the facility admin to have to be a special user separate from the user who would normally login. Or, from another perspective, a facility administrator should have privileges to delete workgroups. I assume that the reason he doesn't goes back to potential need for an ethical wall between IT and various business process owners.
