Managing 300+ sites in TeamSite
Homeslice
Hello again!
Are there any existing implementation in which a single TeamSite server will manage 300+ web site? How can this be implemented? i.e. what is you hardware infrastructure? your network design?
Thanks!
Jonny.

How big are the web sites? Complete company sites or divisional / business-unit sub-sites?
How much interaction is there between the various sites?
My guess would be that you'd probably want more than one server and that you'd probably want multi-store too - so that you could handle administrative tasks more easily.
This (and my other response to your other thread) are essentially theoretical from my stand-point as I haven't had to do either of these things.
You might want to bring Interwoven in to help architect the system from a high-level (servers, user accounts, network stuff) - once that's done you can proceed with actual development efforts.

The number of sites is not really a limiting factor. Assuming one branch per site with one or a few workareas per branch, one good TeamSite server should suffice. You can determine the server spec by looking at the suggestions in TS admin document.
The real question is about throughput (how many concurrent users updating how much data) and distribution (are users in lots of different locales/timezones). Those are the big determining factors on how to scale your hardware and configure backing stores.
