Do we trust email?

Just curious if for email notifications that are just that either notifications of deployments, approvals, extra reject notices... i.e. to a supervisor etc... do most of us simply trust email to get to where it goes, or do we assign a task to a user that they don't have to do anything for but just see the task when they log in...

Anyone.....

I tend to trust it and with the prevailance of email in everyday applicances great and small, I think a growing number of people tend to trust its relability in transmission and delivery. For those who are skeptical, however, it might be helpful to either log the email to a file and/or cc someone on all emails.

Thanks... I don't have a requirement to make them a specific task that would show up in the gui, and in hte past I've trusted emails, so I just wanted to see what others are doing thanks.
