Web CMS (TeamSite)
rendering a portal in teamsite
ttriemst
We have a make shift portal application (a true portal is on my wish list) that runs on Tomcat, and I would like to know if anyone has integrated something similar into TeamSite. Our portal has technology such as struts, jstl, tiles, spring, hibernate and this all runs on Tomcat. I am trying to figure out if we could somehow get it to work in the TeamSite gui so that our graphics department can change content and test it without deploying the content. Our portal (as well as TeamSite) runs on UNIX and we are using TS 6.5.0. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks

Hi,
we have the following environment in one of our portals:
Our production portal is based on Tomcats, BEA Websphere servers, IBM DB2 databases ans some other components.
TeamSite authors are creating JSP pages in their workareas,
we developed a "portal light environment" which serves basic portal functionality only using a Tomcat.
Further we installed a standalone Tomcat on our TS-Server wherein we use the workareas as separate tomcat contexts.
With some editing in your iwproxy ruleset you get a environment, in which your authors can preview pages without deploying.

Thanks for the response, I will start looking into it.

BEA Websphere servers,
IBM or BEA?
on a serious note, I have architected an implementation that runs on NEA Weblogic, but, because of the personalisation and the content repository of BEA, we use a preview and production instances of BEQ< without full integration... trying to use TeamPortal but no success so far, the issue is escalated to top IWOV managers now.....
