read view of forms

When you open a form in read only. The primary key is hidden if its opened with IE (scroll bar is disabled). It works fine in Mozilla and you can see the PK. Any ideas?
Cheers,

Please be much more descriptive about your environment (version, OS, etc.) -- also, what primary key are you referring to? The backing store has a unique identifier for each record, but this display feature is not native to DCR's and from what little information you provided, it sounds like custom code. If this is the case, we'd need much more information along those lines, as well.

To be honest, our suppliers said its not possible.
We are using TeamSite 6.5 on Internet Explorer (OS Windows 2000). When we open a existing form, the read only view generates a new primary key. In IE the scrollbar is not scrollable so can't see the original primary key.
Mozilla shows the correct primary key as the scrollbar is scrollable and it highlights the correct PK.

Okay, well it seems as though you're satisfied with the answer that it's not possible, but I know of quite a few frequent DevNet posters (including myself) who rather enjoy finding a creative -- sometimes hackey -- solution to a problem. I'm still not clear on this primary key. Is your DCT generating a primary key for each record? Again, this is not native to TS and any deviation from such would require some explanation on your part.

Any chance of posting a SS? Are you referring to multi-select boxes? That is the only thing I can think of that is non-scrollable when in view only mode in IE. My client requested a patch for this and have received one from Iwov engineering. FYI, we are on 6.1 SP2, but they should be able to supply you with a similar path if you contact support.

Thanks for that I am talking about the non-scrollable view in IE - apologies for not being clear. Is there a reference number for the patch.

How is this primary key being created / filled into the DCT/DCR ?
Is it via an inline script? or FormAPI code? (it doesn't look like a callout)
Is it supposed to generate a new key everytime the DCR is edited? or only when the DCR is initially created?
Details like the above - along with [at least] pieces of the DCT and associated code being used to perform the operation - will go a loooonnnng way towards allowing us to provide suggestions for getting the desired behavior.
