Spontaneous spawning of Launchpad
System
I've noticed some odd behavior in TS 6.1 and in 6.5 -- as soon as I browse down to the WORKAREA level, the status area on the browser tells me that Launchpad has started. I haven't attempted to import or edit a file by this point, but Launchpad is apparently launched, regardless. Important to note that the status bar is at first glance the only evidence of this -- I'm not getting the typical Launchpad interface every time I enter a WORKAREA. Now THAT would be annoying!
Has anyone else noticed this and/or shed some light as to why this is happening?
Curious...

(2) TS 6.1 SP1 on W2K3

Never heard of anything like this. What exactly is the message and
what is your client side environment (browser, os, jvm)?
Does this happen on just one client PC?
You might try quitting all instances of the browser then doing it again
and then check the access log and see if the launchpad jar/cab file
is really being downloaded. You might also check the java console
and see if there's any sign of activity there.

Thanks for your response...
The message I'm getting is typical of the Launchpad startup, "Applet com.interwoven.launchpad100.IWLaunchPad started." It's not on one PC but on two that I've noticed so far. I'd be willing to say that it's probably not limited to just these two machines, but one of them has the following:
XP Professional
IE 6.0
Java 2 Runtime v1.4.2_05
Like I said, it's not interfering with anything, per se, but I wonder if it's something that probably should happen.

Hmmm..
It should not load unless you do something explicit to invoke it,
like an edit, import, download.
I'm not sure if you're saying it's actually running, or not. Does the
java icon then appear in the Windows task tray at that time?
Do you see an http GET of launchpad.jar in the access log file,
after you quit and restart (all instances of) the browser?
