There is a fair amount of information on MediaBin on DevNet. You can start by using the server Interwoven has made accessible.
Follow this link for some things to try:

Greetings. I appreciate your asking because the best time to make decisions is before all the data gets added!
There are a couple of major decisions you need to make about how to use MediaBin and while nothing is ever completely set in stone, your decisions have a considerable effect on long term use.
The two biggest question are how you will organize the assets into folders and what metadata fields, if any, you intend to add.
You really need to classify your users. Who will be adding content? Who will be accessing content? What is the expected ratio of adds to retrieves? In many cases an asset is retrieved many times once inserted so the primary focus should be to make life easy for people trying to get information.
That being said, it will always be more efficient to make the haystack in which you are trying to find a needle as small as possible. If there are logical groupings whereby users can start to narrow their seach by browsing, that would make a logical starting point for a hierarchy.
We have seen all extremes from users with a vast number of relatively static assets, to users with high turnaround in which assets have a relatively short useful life. If you start to tell your story as it were strictly based on what your users are trying to accomplish the best design will be easier to determine.
Cheers,
