DAS Not Configured

hello everyone,
I have a problem with configuring DAS from OpenDeploy UI, i get this error when ever i click on DAS Configuration.
"Database deployment is not enabled in the server configuration". Please suggest some changes. I am on TS 6.5 with easy Deploy 6.0.0

Did you enable database deployments in your odbase.xml file? You should have a line that looks like this


<databaseDeployment enabled="yes" />

Did you restart the base server after enabling database deployment?

Also note that the event subsystem UI portion won't be available to you, since you are using TS 6.5. That's because TS 6.5 includes its own tools for enabling the event subsystem. This differs from earlier TS releases in which DAS was the only subscriber.

this is what i am getting, when i run iwsyncdb -initial

F:\OpenDeployNG\bin>iwsyncdb -initial
DD Home : F:\OpenDeployNG
DDInvoker exception Cannot communicate with DataDeploy
ERROR Smiley Very Happy

AS Initialization Failed
ERROR Smiley Very Happy

ataDeploy Module has not Started
Done executing iwsyncdb-initial

there is no dd with this easy deploy, please advice me as to what i have to do next?

Sounds like you haven't set the port in iwsyncdb.cfg, as suggested by Jed.

I suspect something else is wrong with how things are configured. Perhaps try walking through your set-up step by step with Tech Support.

I have talked to some persons in the support site sir, they say that, we need a DD enabler no matter what the deployment is ( DAS/Standalone) So i am waiting for my company to purchase DD enabler and then we will go from there. Thanks for prompt response sir.

Hi,
I do not have the dd enabler module, but the response from the command (iwsyncdb -initial ) is different in my case.

Can you confirm these are the steps you followed prior to running "iwsyncdb" command

Enable database deployment element in odbase.xml
set the right port in iwsyncdb.cfg

"RESTART" the server -> iwod60 restart

run the command iwsyncdb -initial
