OpenDeploy Server and Reciever on the same box

I was hoping someone could help point me in the right direction on this.

I have my OpenDeploy server installed on one server. And now I'm being requested to install the OpenDeploy reciever on that same server. I've looked thru the manuals I have and can not find any reference to doing this on the same server. And I was hopeing someone could tell me either how it is done or where I can find directions for doing this. Or even if it is necessary, I don't know for sure if OpenDeploy can deploy files localy or not. The version of OpenDeploy I am using is 5.6.0.1.0, that's for both the reciever and the server.

In case you don't know already, Open deploy server functions as the receiver as well. All you need to do is to modify allowedHosts in odbase.xml to include your hostname.

I suspected that but didn't know for sure. And without a test environment, my ability to "try thoeries" is extremely limited.
