New Data Record is not appearing in file menu

Hi all,

I am facing a strange problem in which I am unable to see the New DCR option in file menu though I haven't entered the same in iw.cfg's [ui_remove_menu_items] and if I am trying ti edit saved DCR then it is opening the same as text file and not showing me the template.

are you sure you have been able to do this before in the same workarea? have you checked whether you have templatedata directory there? have you checked your DCR's EA's? Have you had templating installed?
