OD Through HTTP PRoxy?

Is is possible to configure OD to talk via an HTTP Proxy? We have a server that we need to deploy to, and allowing the connection on the remote end is easy. Getting it setup so the TS server can talk out is more difficult.

We are currently using an HTTP proxy so you can open up a web page from the Server, so I was wondering if it's possible to use an http proxy for communication or if I'm going to have to get the firewall guys to open a pipe.

The communication between an OD sender and receiver is a TCP session. I'm not a networking expert, so I can't say whether such a session can be established or tunneled through an HTTP proxy. You might check with your networking gurus.

as Todd said, one would probably need to try to tunnel TCP via HTTP.

however, if I were you, I'd demand a hole drilled in the firewall. I would not trust a proxy when it comes to delivering production content.
