Passing Param to Inline Callout

Hi,

I'm looking for a RTFM or something like that.
Is it possible to pass a parameter to an inline callout? If so, how?
I couldn't seem to find anything in the Search (maybe I was using the wrong search parameters!).

Basically I have a script that needs to be run to populate a dropdown. Instead of having two copies that are almost identical I was hoping to pass parameters.

Any help much appreciated.

Attach your (DCT) code. It's been a while since I worked in 5.5.2, but I don't see a reason why this shouldn't work.

You are mixing two concepts. Inlines and callouts are not the same thing. An inline is a command line program that returns valid DCT tags in an xml document. Inlines are run when the DCT is first parsed. A callout is a cgi program that is associated with a button. It is run when the user clicks the button and returns values via javascript. For what you are describing an inline is the way to go. You can pass parameters, and they are handled just like normal. If your inline is a perl script, the parameters will be available in the @ARGV array.

Your call to it might look something like this:
<inline command="C:/iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl.exe c:/iw-home/local/bin/foo/foo.ipl arg1 arg2 arg3"/>

I tried that but for some reason I guess it didn't work before (user error).
