CCSTD file folder browser customisation

andy_b

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible, or has successfully customised the file/folder browser window on ContentCenter Standard so that it displays folders in a left hand column, and files in a right hand column - rather than a top/bottom screen split?

We are going to roll out TS 6.5 to our contributors who are used to using WebDesk in TS 5.5 - we are trying to make the inevitable shock of change a little less for them Smiley Wink

Short of editing the JSP code (which can be done, but isn't supported), or writing your own JSP page, I do not believe there is an out of the box customization for this.

Thanks,

I also asked support, and it seems you are right. There's no way to do this.

From a usability point of view, I cant really see how the 'top/bottom' layout could improve a user's experience, when most file/folder browsers are side by side OOTB. It's just one more thing a user has to cope with in the learning curve of using TeamSite.
