Generating jsp page from Template

Hi

I would like to write java code under TPL and generate a jsp file. So What are the configuration(s) I need to seup to generate jsp page(s) from TeamSite Template.
Appreciate if you send any KB article or document of configuring and generating jsp from templates

Environment:
TeamSite6.1.0
Apache Webserver 1.3
Sun Solaris 9

the only thing that you need is to configure the extensions in templating.cfg

another story is with virtualising jsp's... But since you have not asked, I assume you know what you are going to do.

<template name="template1.tpl" extension="jsp">
I don't know "virtualising jsp's" Can you please tell how to do it..

Hi,
in our environment TeamSite authors are creating JSP pages in their workareas.
Further we installed a standalone Tomcat on our TS-Server wherein we use the workareas as separate tomcat contexts.
With some editing in your iwproxy ruleset you get an environment, in which you can virtualize your workarea.

As others have already addressed most of your original post - I won't bother going through that.
However, you say "I would like to write java code under TPL and generate a jsp file." - do you mean you are trying to write your presentation template in Java? If so, I'm not sure that's really supported (to the best of my knowledge it's basically XML and/or Perl - and though you *might* be able to use Java, I think you would be incurring unnecessary overhead in doing so).

hi, does templating engine supports java code in the tpl files?

If we write tpl with java objects and classes then will it work? Any particular confirgurations etc required?

The only solution pops to my mind is it to do this using an external command but it is not the right solution and will not serve the purpose for sure.
