Hi all,

An object ID had the following format

!<ver>!<library>!<type>!<namespace::name>$<sid>![<namespace::name>$<sid>!]

is the sid value unique throughout all content types or just unique within a single type?

Is the sid the primary key of the table holding the content for a alternate primary key?

SIDs are unique for a single content type within a library.

In most cases, SIDs are the primary key for the tables holding the content.
