error populating select box

I am on TS6.5 with win2k3. I am trying to populate my select box from database.The same old think which most of them have done. I am getting the following error, The code is also hown below. Thank in advance.

Error clearly shows that DSN (ODBC:GPOi) not available or configured properly.

i have created my DSN, but its a JDBC related, if i use JDBC, it still gives me an error. I don't know why. can anyone please tell the way this statement has to be written?

I'd suggest you read CPAN's documentation on DBI: http://search.cpan.org/~timb/DBI-1.48/DBI.pm

I think the problem might be occuring logically before this point, though. Have you tested this DSN? Can you connect to it through some client app you have running? Also, what database platform are you trying to connect to? Presumably, the last question shouldn't matter.

Thank you so much , I have the DSn figured out. There was a DSN missing but now it is up and running. now that the select box is populated, my company needs some thing more out of it. Instead of populating select box they want me to populate "listbox" now and a common scenario in which you select some multiple entries in one list and dump it into an other list box lying next to it by saying "ADD" or delete few using "DELETE" buttons. Can any one suggest me as how this scenario can be accomplished?
Thank you in advance. I am sure i need to write some javascript for the button attributes. But how about the properties in the other list box.?

This is accomplished with Javascript and there are quite a few examples out there if you'd Google it. It doesn't take that many lines of code to do this and it's pretty straight-forward.

Like I said, there are many examples of this out there.

Hello Everyone, I have this new problem here. Say while populating the select box, i am taking the "NAME column as the entries in my select box" But we want only NAME as the label and ID as the value. ID and NAME are columns in the same table.

You really want to get both name and id in the same query. Here's a shot at some code that should get you close:
